Now, after his retirement, Roger Federer’s legacy on the Centre Court is at stake according to former ATP player, John Lloyd who believes his old arch-rival, Novak Djokovic might dethrone him this season.

In an interview with Dailymail, Lloyd said, “If Novak Djokovic wins this year, he’s equaled Roger Federer’s record of eight Wimbledon titles. We’re used to thinking of Centre Court as Roger’s place but if Novak wins this year it is his place too!”

Speaking about his prowess on the grass court, the 68-year-old asserted that the Serb is made of ‘rubber’ given his smooth movement on the surface. Meanwhile, Lloyd also hailed him as ‘unbeatable’ on grass as he is way more faster than his opponents at the prestigious tournament. He also brought to light Djokovic’s strategy of forcing his opponents out of their comfort zone on the court which often led to errors.
