A bizarre turn of events engulfed the Vasek Pospisil and Mackenzie McDonald matchup at the Miami Open 2021. Astonishingly, at the end of the opening set, the Canadian professional called out the ATP Chairman in public.
The incident directly shed light on the happenings of the players’ meeting that had taken place a day before, which was attended by players and ATP executives. During the proceedings, the ATP chairman apparently turned on the Canadian professional and gave him an earful regarding player unison.
Due to the formation of the Novak Djokovic and Vasek Pospisil-led Player’s Association, the ATP Player’s Council received unwanted attention. For this reason, the chairman might have said some strong words to Pospisil in Miami.
