“Wolves Are Also Very Instinctual”: Novak Djokovic Describes Spending Time With Nature During his Childhood

Novak Djokovic put on a brilliant defensive show last night at the Wimbledon Championship 2021. The Serbian legend was class apart, running a riot against America’s Denis Kudla. The game was far from ordinary, as Kudla pushed Novak to his defensive extreme. Regardless, the World No. 1, performed brilliantly well, beating Denis 6-4, 6-3, 7-6.
While the crowd loved every bit of the game, it wasn’t Novak‘s performance that got the centre’s attention yesterday. Instead, it was the ‘G.O.A.T’s post-match presentation that had the crowd inspired, in awe, and in splits too. Revealing the secret to his fierce mentality, the Serbian mentioned his childhood in the mountains, crediting the wolves he grew up around as his “spiritual guides.”

Coming from a humble background, Novak also spent his childhood fighting for survival. He believes it is this very fighting attitude that has made him the great he is today.
“Failure was never an option for me or anyone in my family. We needed to find the basic needs to survive. That’s strengthened my character”, the Serbian emphasized. As the crowd chuckled, Novak quickly replied, “I’m not kidding,” further explaining what drives him to want more in life.

Novak continues his title defensive campaign
Courtesy of that emphatic performance, Novak will now play Chilean national Christian Garin in the round of 16. After back-to-back successful outings, fans patiently wait to see what else Novak has up his sleeve. The Djoker promises to entertain no matter what, but ruling out a possibility of an upset would surely be a mistake.
While the ultimate ‘G.O.A.T’ of tennis remains a topic of debate and debacle, it is clear that there is only one ‘Wolf’ here. And unlike his wild counterparts, he doesn’t hunt in a pack; his name is Novak Djokovic and if anything, he hunts the pack.
