John McEnroe is very confident about Gauff’s success in the upcoming days. He said, “You know, I look at Coco a little bit like Alcaraz against some of the bigger hitters. It’s similar with her. She’s not as big as the other players and but she’s extremely athletic, the way Alcaraz is. I expect her to win more Majors. She will definitely win more majors. She seems to be in a good place. Mentally, she added some pieces to her team such as Brad Gilbert and is working with Andy Roddick and you can see the improvements on her serve.”

Sabalenka is currently on a devastating form at the Melbourne Slam. They have met each other 6 times in their career. Although Gauff leads the H2H with a 4-2 margin, Sabalenka will surely look forward to repeating the heroics from 12 months ago.

Here’s what she said on her epic battle against the American star, “After the US Open, I really wanted that revenge. It’s always a great battle against Coco, really great fights. I’m happy to play her and I’m super excited to play the semi-final match. She’s moving really well. Everything you do on the court is coming back.
