“Sometimes Underestimated”: Victoria Azarenka Wants to Incorporate Roger Federer’s Serve

Over the last two decades, Roger Federer has earned a huge name in the sport. He has become an ambassador of tennis who has inspired many generations. Interestingly, it is because of this reason why youngsters look forward to learning his exceptional service and forehand.
In a recent interview at the Citi Open 2021, 2-time Grand Slam winner, Victoria Azarenka, revealed the one shot that she would like to incorporate into her gameplay. Intriguingly, Vika chose Roger Federer’s service and also explained the reason for the same.

“I think I would take Federer’s serve,” began Azarenka. “Because I think sometimes that it is a bit underestimated how good it is with the accuracy, maybe not necessarily with power where there are other players who are dominating that area but the precision is.”
Vika is definitely a big fan of Federer and his service. As a result, she stated that even though the 40-year-old doesn’t generate much power in his serve, he hits the ball with some great accuracy and precision- which is enough for creating huge problems for his opponents.

Roger Federer withdraws from the US Open 2021
Federer hasn’t played a single match after the Wimbledon Championships 2021. Surprisingly, he didn’t even train himself on the hard-courts and decided to withdraw from the National Bank Open and Cincinnati Masters 2021.

It appears that the Swiss maestro hasn’t recovered from his knee injury yet and thus, decided to skip the US Open 2021. He will undergo another knee surgery shortly and will also miss the Laver Cup 2021.
