Memphis Grizzlies registered their 33rd win of the season by beating the Spurs on the road. Grizzlies star guard Ja Morant was the star of the night with 41 points in 37 mins. The Grizzlies sit 3rd in the Western Conference with a 33-17 record this season so far.

Ja Morant has been in top form since joining the NBA in 2019. After winning the Rookie of the Year award in 2020, he took his game to the next level last season.

However, with massive improvements to his game, he is among the best players in the NBA this season. In fact, his performances have made a case for him to be in the MVP conversation. He played 37 minutes in the game against the Spurs and recorded 41 points, 5 rebounds, and 8 assists. After an emphatic win over the Spurs, Morant dedicated his performance to his grandmother, who is fighting cancer.

Ja Morant scores 41 points vs Spurs, dedicates win to his grandmother

To go along with his 41 points, 5 rebounds, 8 assists, the youngster ended up with 3 steals and a 53% shooting from the field. After an incredible performance, he dedicated the win and his performance to his grandmother, who is battling cancer.

“I just had to go out there and battle,” Morant said.

This was another game with high minutes for the 22-year-old guard. Morant played a game-high 41 minutes against Dallas Mavericks on Sunday, which the Grizzlies lost. Now, he played 37 minutes against the Spurs. This shows how important Morant is for the Grizzlies and reaffirms the fact that they are a top side in the NBA with him on the court.
