Giannis Antetokounmpo was, without a doubt, the best player in Milwaukee Bucks this season. It is surprising that he won his first championship even before the age at which Michael Jordan or LeBron James won their first. He has set himself on a path to the Hall of Fame in the NBA.
The Greek Freak’s path to his first championship was not easy. But, it was not as difficult as it could have been, had many of his opponents not faced crucial injuries, like the Brooklyn Nets did not have James Harden or Kyrie Irving for most of the games in their series.

So, the question emerges, had teams been healthier, would the Bucks still win the championship? And what would Giannis have to do to repeat the success of this season for the Bucks?
NBA Legend Robert Horry certainly believes that for Giannis’ success at the Bucks, Mike Budenholzer needs to go. Seven-time NBA Champion Horry has never been shy of his critique of Bud, and he has now openly admitted on his podcast that Giannis needs a better coach than Mike.

On his own podcast, Horry said, “The one thing that I respect out of Giannis is he said, ‘I ain’t friends with nobody, you know, I want to do this thing and go out and win.’
“So I respect his championship, I respect it and if he’s able to do it again, I would be his biggest fan. But he just needs a better coach than Bud.”

Therefore, many critics around the NBA have questioned whether the head coach deserves the contract extension he got at the end of August. Despite the glory, even in July, on ESPN’s The Jump, Horry admitted he felt Mike did not deserve that. He felt that the franchise should have waited to give him that extension.
