The Beijing Winter Olympics 2022 is looking good in its early stages. Amongst all the athletes heading to Beijing, Mikaela Shiffrin had everything in place for a sensational Olympics. However, Shiffrin could not complete her races and slid off the track. With all that disappointment with her, a piece of great news arrived for the talented skier.

Her boyfriend, Aleksander Aamodt Kilde, won the bronze medal for the Super-G event in a sensational performance in Beijing. Moreover, Shiffrin posted an Instagram story stating her support for the skier.

Significantly, Kilde won the bronze medal to the delight of Shiffrin. With the pandemic proving to be a problem for most people, the duo started dating in 2021 and have grown closer to each other. With both competing in the same sport, Shiffrin and Kilde have enjoyed good times together. Although the Olympic Games village separates them together, the couple is one of the best in town. She mentioned in her story:

“A bronze worth more than gold, captured by a man made of gold.”

Kilde ranks on top for both downhill and super-G and is expected to win gold medals. Winning the bronze medal made him happy, and he talked about the moment. Thus, it was a good day in the office for the talented snowboarder as he grabs his medal at the Beijing Winter Olympics.

“It was a tough day in general yesterday. Sleeping last night was not easy; waking up today feeling not great. But it was great racing today, so really happy about it. I thought I was going to win, of course. When you come in a second ahead on an Olympics, of course … I thought well, this is going to be gold,” said Kilde.

Can Shiffrin bounce back from her disappointment?

A disappointing giant slalom competition saw Shiffrin getting disqualified from the competition. The 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics gold medalist is one of the best skiers in the world. She is a two-time Olympic gold medalist and her skiing routines are top-notch.
