After a Horrifying Hamstring Injury Shattered His Mr. Olympia Dream, Nick Walker Engages in an Insane Leg Workout After Months

Nick Walker must have had major hopes about clinching the Mr. Olympia title in 2023, owing to the kind of training he was putting himself through for the competition. However, the 29-year-old bodybuilding icon could not make his dream a reality because of a hamstring injury hit him hard, making him leave the Olympia press conference in the middle.
Now that as we enter the year 2024, new hopes seem to have started gaining momentum for Walker. Despite the injury, he has not given up on his efforts and dreams yet. Instead, he recently was seen engaged in a leg workout on his dead load week.

In a recent Instagram post, uploaded by Nick Walker’s official Instagram account, the bodybuilding Mutant, was seen doing a leg workout. As he has suffered an unbearable hamstring injury, he took the utmost care of intensity of the training. In the workout video, he said, “Today we’ll be filming legs. It’ll be my first official leg day since I tore it,” hinting at his hamstring injury.

He wrote a caption that gave some crucial details of his leg workout. He said that he wanted to put a leg day in on his “deload” week to see how things would go, and as one could see in the video, they went decently well. Continuing further, he wrote that he was able to train quads at a very decent load and then again took some deload time, so he finally didn’t feel like pushing anything. He also tried some stiff leg exercises with 40 pounds. He was content and happy with his first leg workout after so many months after his injury.

Nick Walker to not turn up for the Arnold Classic
On being asked whether he was going to participate in the Arnold Classic or not, he answered, “I’m not preparing, I do not have Arnold Classic mind, my main objective as of right now is to make sure you know to full recovery and prepare for next year. That’s the goal here.”

This 29-year-old bodybuilder does not have his eyes on the Arnold Classic, at least for 2024. He wants to make sure that he completely recovers from the injury.
