After Spraining His Ankle, Tom Cruise Spent “10 Hours a Day in Rehab and Training” Before Finishing His $792 Million Blockbuster Film (2018)

World-famous actor Tom Cruise is known for his brilliant stunts in every movie. The $600 million actor, and producer, is regarded to be one of the top actors of Hollywood. Even at the age of 61, he could give young actors a run for their money. Tom Cruise has no plan to stop. With his movie Top Gun: Maverick, getting nominated for six Academy Awards he is still on a roll.

He also starred in the latest Mission Impossible movie, where he again did impossible stumps on his own. Doing stunts has a bunch of injuries that might need surgery and that is what happened in 2018 to Tom Cruise as well.

Tom Cruise had broken his ankle while doing a scene in Mission: Impossible film Fallout. The incredible actor had appeared on the Graham Norton Show and talked about his injury. He spoke about the ankle mishap in the sixth installment of Mission Impossible while chasing Henry Cavill on a rooftop.

Cruise also chronicled how he needed surgery for the accident, but he also needed to return to the shoot in six weeks. The throwback video of the actor on Instagram was truly inspiring. He said, “ I spent 10 hours a day in rehab and training.” Then the Academic award nominee continued, “Cause I have to get back to filming in six weeks, and the doctor said they weren’t sure whether I’d ever be able to run again.” “So my diet had to be perfect. My training had to be perfect. Those are the choices you have to make,” said the 3 time Golden Globe award winner.

Tom Cruise the OG of action

In the recent reboot of the Mission Impossible franchise, Cruise took another spine-chilling, action sequence into his own hands. There is a specific scene in the movie where he rides a bike over a ramp at full speed and jumps off a mountain as the bike falls.

According to his interview with The Project, “ I did lots of skydiving, tracking, working again on the motorcycle, lots of motorcycle jumps.” The dauntless A-Lister also does not leave any stone unturned. He wanted the scene to be as perfect as possible.
