Bodybuilder turned Hollywood star Arnold Schwarzenegger, greatly reveres his co-actor and friend Bruce Willis as an action icon. However, the latter’s initial aphasia diagnosis had urged him to step away from his illustrious acting career earlier last year. A subsequent update on the condition revealed that Willis was, in fact, suffering from Frontotemporal Dementia (FTD), an incurable disease. 

Deeply saddened by the news, Schwarzenegger and several other stars took the front line to help Willis with anything and everything he and his family needed. After this heartwarming gesture, the Austrian Oak now spoke on the American star’s praise-worthy acting career, while subtly nuancing his retirement from the industry, per Cinema Blend. Although he also made an interesting statement about the genre of their work.

According to the publication, the 75-year-old legend candidly chatted about his long-time buddy, Willis. While keeping in mind the health struggles he’s been tackling. His great admiration for the star iterated their close-knitted bond. “I think that he’s fantastic. He was, always for years and years, is a huge, huge star,” he acknowledged in the interview with Cinema Blend

However, a sudden change in context confirmed that the 68-year-old actor is concluding his career for good. He said, “And I think that he will always be remembered as a great, great star. And a kind man. I understand that under his circumstances, health-wise, that he had to retire.” After years of hard work and consistency with his profession, it is time that the icon takes time off for himself and prioritizes his health.
