Arnold Schwarzenegger Lifts the Curtain on His “Intense Rivalry” With Sylvester Stallone in the Past: “You Get Older, Reach a Certain Age and Say, OK”

The stardom of IFBB legend turned action star Arnold Schwarzenegger stardom in Hollywood stands unmatched even today. However, there was a time when even the legend was fighting to make a name for himself while other similar actors were emerging around the same era. One such star is Sylvester Stallone. According to the interview that surfaced on Friday, the 75-year-old star chatted about his upcoming Netflix documentary, Arnold, set to stream on the first week of June. As a matter of fact, the three-part docuseries portrays Arnie’s life with greater precision, thus revealing the “intense rivalry” as a crucial driving element for his success. 

The movie features Stallone saying, “We couldn’t even stand to be in the same room.” On the other hand, the former athlete implied that it only pushed him further to achieve greatness. Arnie’s staggering mindset always motivates him to look at the brighter side of problems.

“There was a competition. It always is a form of motivation for me, and I know he felt pretty much the same way,” the champion said in the interview with USA Today. Nevertheless, as the two grew older, they deduced that a change was needed. Hence, the duo finally decided to approach their friendship, and working on The Expendables was the cherry on the cake.

After their relationship took a positive turn, Stallone and Schwarzenegger collaborated together on the action franchise and became great friends. The star bodybuilder explained it as “You get older, reach a certain age, and say, ‘OK, we’ve done that. Now maybe we should try a different approach.”

Therefore, the idea of working together seemed like a more viable option to bolster their companionship. “It has been a much more pleasant approach,” the action star chimed in. As of now, we can see the two admiring each other in public interviews.
