The diagnosis of non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma at the age of 17 completely turned Wong’s life upside down. When he had to go through with a difficult treatment regimen of chemotherapy, radiation, and a bone marrow transplant, his attitude toward his existence changed immensely.

“I always say that cancer has been the best thing that ever happened to me,” he says. Wong gained a new perspective on life after overcoming the terrible disease. He now counts 16 years in recovery after adopting a “glass half full” perspective and characterizing his cancer battle as a transformational blessing.

The challenge was not only unusual but also dangerous. He had to slice the most cucumber slices in 30 seconds while blindfolded. The minimum requirement was around 100 slices per second, which was more than three slices per second. Wallace carefully used steel rods to hold the knife, completing an impressive 166 slices.

Wong’s Guinness World Records certificate made it clear that this was his only rock. He already has lofty goals to break other records, including the blindfolded carrot challenge and dangerous stunts with fire.“I would love to break and set as many records as I can,” setting the stage for an even more exciting future.
