He went on this vacation with his partner and seems to be enjoying it, but without compromising on training. Even in his off-season, he is not resting and is putting on more muscle mass to compete in his 5th Mr. Olympia. Thus traveling or minimal equipment cannot deviate from his primary goal.

Bumstead, once in the Truth Podcast, said to his coach Rambod, “I know I have at least one more in me. After this year, the same thing. If I’m like, ‘fu** I’m done,’ and I’m getting out of here, then I’m done. I hope I trust myself enough to know that it’s time to check out because the one goal I have with retirement is retiring on top. That’s really all I care about. I don’t really care about how many I get”. So this 5th Mr. Olympia is an important goal for him, and a vacation cannot stand in the way of it.
