Lesley Maxwell reveals her fitness secret

Maxwell’s Instagram grid can ignite envy even in a teenager as she often poses in a bikini flaunting her brawny figure. The 65-year-old shared the question she is posed by her admirers. “I’m always asked how I stay lean all year round. Do I perform much cardio or because of calorie restrictions?” said Maxwell in her Instagram post with a photo of her posing in a workout suit.

Revealing her answer to the frequent question, she says,” And the answers are “no” and “no”. That’s because I train effectively with weights plus have my own method of eating and anyone can start at any age.” Lifting weights is a personal favorite for the 65-year-old and she credits her age-defying physique to strength training.

Reflecting on her younger self, Maxwell says she was softer and much thinner at one point in time. Unlike popular opinion, she believes that fitness is not time bound.” We can change our body shape and health whenever we are ready,” per Maxwell. She started working out in her late forties and now in her mid-sixties, she is aiming at many things but not retirement.

Diet and Workout Regime of Lesley Maxwell

The old beauty never takes her diet and workout regime lightly. The fitness freak has as many as five or six meals per day to keep her blood sugar constant. Her protein intake per day ranges between 100g to 120g.
