Reacting to a TikTok video of two fitness influencers discussing this issue, renowned fitness influencer Joey Swoll sheds light on the importance of gym etiquette and preached the value of cooperation while sharing a common space.

Joey Swoll calls out female influencers for not being courteous to people

 In a recent TikTok video, two girls expressed their anger and innocence about fellow gym members approaching them to ask, ‘How many sets do you have left?’ Joey Swoll, who preaches gym positivity and etiquette in his videos, came across this and reacted to this video. In his recent tweet, he wrote, “There is NOTHING wrong with asking someone politely how many sets they have left, especially in a busy commercial gym.”

Swoll further stated in the video, “You don’t have to do that. But you should at least be kind and courteous to people. And remember, they pay the same gym membership that you do to use that same equipment. You don’t own it.” Concluding his statements, Swoll said, “Really, you need to do better. Mind your own business.”

Swoll makes content related to gym manners and etiquette frequently in order to promote gym positivity. In an earlier shared video, the CEO of Gym Positivity once called out a woman who was recording her workout in the gym. He explained how it is unfair to be pissed at people crossing your camera while training at a public gym.

Swoll asks influencers to stop their nonsense

Swoll pointed out that while fitness creators might need the freedom to document, they should be considerate of other people around them too. If a person walks through your recording, it is not the end of the world. Moreover, he explained that this is bound to happen in a public space. To avoid such incidents, it is better to create a private gym for yourself.

“Influencers need to stop this nonsense. Acting as if they’re filming, they’re taking a video is more important than everybody else in the gym. that they need to stop it they’re doing just because you’re taking a video. I’m sorry, you don’t own the place,” Swoll mentioned in his video.
