Bumstead wants his baby to be self-reliant

In one of his videos, Bumstead revealed that he plans to leave his baby to cry after a few months so that she becomes self-reliant. He reflected, “When they cry you just leave them alone to cry. So they self-soothe, and then they learn so that they don’t they’re not reliant on you coming to get them every time they cry.”

He further explained the reason behind such thoughts. Bumstead stated that in western society, people are always pushed to become independent and that is a good way to start. He said, “We live in a Western society that enforces way too much like independence and like no social culture community. So instead what I feel like I want to do with Courtney is giving the baby space and infant space consistently just to feel whatever emotion they’re in.”
