Four-time Classic Physique Mr. Olympia Chris Bumstead is preparing to defend his title for the fifth time. As usual, the champ is vlogging his prep for millions of fans on YouTube. However, just because he is busy with his Mr. Olympia perp doesn’t mean that the bodybuilding icon is not involved with his business. In 2021, CBum became a partner and co-owner of the sports supplement brand Raw Nutrition.

Since then Bumstead has worked tirelessly to grow the brand’s footprint. Recently, he even visited India for the launch of Raw Nutrition’s whey protein. In his latest prep vlog, Bumstead took care of business after finishing his workout. However, he also reminisced about how Raw Nutrition means the same as a multi-billion dollar hypermarket chain.

After his workout, the bodybuilding icon visited Walmart. The four-time champion said he was trying to get permission from Walmart to shoot a “cool video.” However, filming wasn’t the only purpose why Bumstead visited the hyperstore chain. The champion bodybuilder said he was there to drop off some of Raw Nutrition’s products at Walmart.

CBum showed the Essential Fruit Burst flavor of his pre-workout. He then showed off the Glazed Donut flavor of the RAW Whey Protein Blend. Finally, CBum showed the electrolytes. The bodybuilder explained how “cool” he felt coming to Walmart to drop off the products for the company he co-owns.

The 28-year-old remembered how other chains like Target weren’t there in Canada when he was a kid. “Growing up my whole life when you need like anything you go to Walmart,” said the bodybuilder. However, it felt surreal that now “anything and everything” will include Raw Nutrition products.

The Canadian bodybuilding icon acknowledged that watching his company grow in three years has been a “wild ride.” However, the King of Classic Physique still has his eyes on the prize. Especially since the rules have changed.

The interesting rule change for the Classic Physique category
Classic Physique is among the most competitive classes in the Mr. Olympia. While Open bodybuilders can weigh in at whatever weight they want, Classic Physique athletes have a weight limit assigned to them. The weight limit is different depending on the height of the athlete. About three weeks ago, the vice president of the IFBB announced a revision of the weight limits.
Tyler Manion announced that tall bodybuilders had a disproportionate weight limit compared to shorter bodybuilders. Since Classic physique athletes range from 5’4” Ft to 6’2″ and above, Manion announced the shorter bodybuilders would get a 7 lbs increase in weight limit. However, bodybuilders 6’1″ Ft and above would get a 2 lb increase.

While Chris Bumstead is busy training to do his best under the new weight limit rules, he is also grateful for the progress his business has made.
