The bodybuilding icon trained heavily during his prime to dethrone ‘The King.’ The 50-year-old gained intense knowledge about bodybuilding while competing in the sport for over two decades. So, he often shares impactful insights on building a physique through his newsletter. The recent edition speaks about muscle recovery. It is not an unknown fact that bodybuilders lift heavy weights at the gym for muscle growth.

Many often do not realize the importance of recovery, which will enhance growth. So, for speedy muscle recovery, Cutler focuses on sleep, nutrients, hydration, and cardio, which he also mentioned in his newsletter. “Nothing makes you recover better than sleep, yet so many people are constantly skipping bedtime,” complains Cutler while stressing the need for 8 hours of quality sleep. He later moved on to dietary needs and revealed the importance of carbohydrates and proteins.

Carbs and protein are the best macronutrients for muscle recovery, you can’t afford to under eat on these,” he wrote in his newsletter. The 4x Mr. Olympia also added in his newsletter, “Hydration is another critical component for recovery too.” The third factor that helps with muscle recovery is cardio. Earlier, the bodybuilding icon shared crucial factors for building a shredded physique.

The 4x Mr. Olympia shared a valuable tip in his newsletterJaymail, and wrote, “The only way to get shredded abs is to get your body fat down – ab exercises won’t do that for you, you have to do the work with the diet and cardio.”
