Arnold Schwarzenegger, the legendary actor and former governor of California, has had an illustrious career in Hollywood, starring in numerous movies during his prime. The Austrian Oak has been a part of some of the biggest blockbuster hits of his time. However, movies like Total Recall, T2: Judgment Day, and True Lies still stand apart as they didn’t only get the audience’s love but also huge financial results at the box office. And The Terminator recently opened on what he did with the big chunk of money coming from these three movies. 

Recently Schwarzenegger appeared for an interview with The Parade to talk about his acting journey so far. However, when asked about how he spent the reported $25 million he earned from those films, Schwarzenegger’s response shed light on his practical mindset and businessman-like approach.

Schwarzenegger emphasized the fact that as an individual’s income increases, their lifestyle often becomes more expensive. However, he highlighted the importance of not succumbing to excessive spending and maintaining financial responsibility. Despite his significant earnings, he believed in not overextending himself.

The Austrian Oak revealed that he always ensured that he could continue to meet his financial obligations, such as mortgage payments, car payments, and maintaining multiple properties. “You need to still make those payments for your mortgage and your cars and your second home.”, he said in the interview.

In his interview, Schwarzenegger revealed that he had a disciplined approach to life, which extended to his business mindset. He shared that his first experience of achieving millionaire status did not come from movies, but rather from his smart investments in real estate. Schwarzenegger actively invested in apartment buildings and office spaces, aiming to generate a passive income for financial stability, as he revealed during the interview.

Many people may be surprised to know that Arnold Schwarzenegger, despite his immense wealth, chooses not to own a phone. Patrick Schwarzenegger revealed that his father has a more traditional mindset and avoids modern devices like smartphones, preferring an “old school” approach to technology. Despite his massive wealth and the ability to afford the latest gadgets, Arnold chooses to maintain a distance from the conveniences of modern technology.

Patrick further added that if Arnie wants to call someone, he prefers to FaceTime via his iPad rather than texting. “He refuses to text. He only does the iPad FaceTime,” he revealed. While many people rely heavily on smartphones for communication, entertainment, and productivity, Arnold’s choice reminds us that there are different ways to navigate the modern world.
