The ‘Austrian Oak’ added another feather to his cap by becoming the Governor of California in 2003. However, he never ran for president of the United States.

The 75-year-old actor revealed the reasons behind his decision not to compete for the post of US President in an interview.

Arnold Schwarzenegger’s illustrious career wouldn’t stop with bodybuilding as he plunged into the movie business in the 1970s. After featuring in superhit movies like ‘The Terminator’, ‘Predator’, and ‘Twins’, Arnie competed for the Governor’s post in California.

He won the recall election in 2003 and spearheaded several reforms for better finances and environmental causes. The people dearly called him ‘Governator.’ Now, while speaking with Tracy Smith on CBS News, the actor revealed why he never contested for the Presidency in America. “Do you wish you could run for president?” asked Smith, to which Arnie replied, “No, no, I’m finished with that.“

He added, “I would have run, if I would have been an American born, in 2016 because it’s the only thing that I can’t do in America.” However, the 75-year-old has no regrets and stated, “I would never complain about that. America made everything that I have achieved possible.” Arnie also once stated that America is the “best place in the world” as it gives “all the opportunities in the world.” Earlier, the Terminator icon revealed his goals for the next five years.

The Austrian Oak dreams big in his fourth quarter

Arnold Schwarzenegger’s legacy is unparalleled, and he keeps outdoing himself in terms of his illustrious career. He aced his bodybuilding and acting careers and ruled as a governor.
