Chris Bumstead confessed to doing fewer Bench Presses than an influencer

In the podcast by @FULLSENDPODCAST, Chris Bumstead was joined by Bradley Martyn. The podcast featured several questions for both entities however when Bradley noticed and pointed out that a comparison was being conducted between him and Chris, he started getting a little uncomfortable. He kept on asking why he was getting compared to a four-time Mr. Olympia champion.

When the comparisons led to the Bench Press PRs, Bradley became more agitated, yet a smile never left his face. He was well aware of his PR being higher than Bumstead. However, Chris, on the other hand, firmly stated without trying to hide or lie about his own PR. He commented about Bradley, “He’s stronger than me, honestly.” The comparison leads to the revelation that Bradley’s PR goes higher up than Chris’s 435. However, Martyn didn’t mention his amount, so as not to disrespect Bumstead. CBum on the other hand, tackled such comments maturely. He retorted that it was not a disrespect.

From Chris’s good attitude and rational handling of the comparison between Bradley and him, his persona is thus judged well. In fact, Chris revealed his inclination towards practicing alone which reflects his unwillingness to show off.

As the video proceeded, CBum said that he was almost done building his own gym. Chris declared, “I like privacy.” Additionally, he remarked, “No one’s allowed in it. Like a private gym for myself, and my like friends and family. And I just like want to be alone when I train you know.” After talking about his own private gym in the making, Chris shared his experience in commercial gyms where he gets heavily interrupted from time to time.

In bodybuilding, every entity has its own uniqueness. Just because one excels in one zone, doesn’t mean they will be the only successful one in the house.
