Transforming your physique is not only about pushing your physical capabilities. It also includes the mental aspects that we often tend to undermine. While we focus on and appreciate the physical challenges faced by a celebrity or an influencer for a transformation, we lose sight of the mental challenges that the individual went through in order to achieve the look.

People involved in the entertainment industry frequently have to transform their physiques for their roles in various movies and series. One of the most applaudable transformations that we have witnessed is that of Henry Cavill for the 2013 movie, ‘Man Of Steel.’ While working on his physique for the movie, Cavill faced several adversities during the process. However, through sheer determination and will, Henry pushed through. One of the instances that happened on the set of ‘Man Of Steel’ was described recently in a YouTube video. During moments of weakness, Cavill ensured that he does not give up and truly transformed into ‘Superman.’

Pushing your limits in the gym is crucial for muscle hypertrophy and strength gains. The last few reps that an individual executes after achieving failure in a set are what lead to muscle and strength gains.

During the harsh winters of Vancouver, it often becomes hard for an individual to train because of the weather. While shooting for ‘The Man Of Steel,’ Cavill faced one such moment of weakness. However, he ensured that he does not let this get over him and trained nonetheless. Explaining the moment when Cavill actually felt like a superhero, a recent video posted on YouTube revealed, “Henry was grinding away in the gym. He was halfway up, with his last rep of heavy front squats when his legs froze under the weight of the 305 pounds pushing down on his shoulders.” Cavill could not stand up as his knees started to cave in.

One of the least talked about aspects of weight training is the mental strength needed to progress in the gym. The video also emphasized the fact that whenever you perform an extra rep, an extra set, or a heavier weight, the additional efforts stack up and lead to great results. “This is probably one of the most powerful things about making progress in the gym,” the video pointed out.

Cavill’s will and determination to push through the moments when he wanted to give up led to the insane transformation that the fans still admire. His transformation still manages to make the list of one of the best transformations in the entertainment industry so far.
