Arnold Schwarzenegger credits his vision in life to his passion for bodybuilding. This sport introduced the Austrian Oak to the world, and his subsequent success story unfolded with time. So, Arnie never disassociated himself from bodybuilding despite moving into the film business and politics. His latest contribution to the bodybuilding community is his newsletter, Arnold’s Pump Club, where he shares his knowledge on fitness with his followers. Earlier, the 7x Mr. Olympia champion shared his thoughts on the cold water plunge associated with fat loss. Now, he responds to a comment appreciating his views on the same, on Twitter.
Revealing his intention behind starting a newsletter, the former Mr. Universe further shared his childhood routine in response to the user’s tweet.

Arnold Schwarzenegger shares his childhood routine
In one of the editions of his newsletter, the Pumping Iron actor disclosed his views on ice-cold bathes while substantiating his beliefs with scientific evidence. Hailing Schwarzenegger for his honest opinions with proof, a Twitter user promoted his newsletter on icebaths.
“Just read @Schwarzenegger’s newsletter mentioning ice baths and I am so happy to see he’s not pushing it and is giving the real data on them,” wrote the user. Responding to the tweet, the action hero revealed the purpose of his newsletter. “The goal of the newsletter is to always cut through the BS to make health and fitness less confusing!” he wrote.

He further opened up about his childhood routine that was scarce of hot water baths. “Jump in an ice bath if you like it! I didn’t have a hot shower until I was 18, so I’ve had enough cold water,” Arnie leaves the choice to his followers while sharing his experience. Schwarzenegger has been honest with his fans. Be it his unhealthy habits like cigars or his fitness thoughts, he never gave a false portrayal of himself. His take on cold water plunges is one of them.
Arnold Schwarzenegger busts the myth of the cold water baths with proof
The bodybuilding legend reveals that cold water baths can help in melting “unwanted fat by increasing brown adipose tissue (BAT)” in one of his newsletters. However, the research doesn’t prove it to the core, according to him.

Arnie cited a recent study that reflected, “People swimming in cold water 2-3 times per week… burned just 10 extra calories.” So, the Austrian Oak adds that it might be a waste of time to get cold water baths for fat loss. He, however, suggests other methods like, “lifting weights, listening to music, or having s*x,” to get that “cold surge of dopamine.”
