Arnold Schwarzenegger was seeking half-ownership

In a podcast, Arnold Schwarzenegger revealed how people always warned him against playing a comedy role. He recalled, “I love when someone says, this is really risky, Arnold, to do “Twins” because the people love to see in action movies, but I don’t know if they will go for it that you are in a comedy.” Yet the Austrian Oak did exactly what he was warned against.

Moreover, he clearly told the director, Ivan Reitman, the $300 million-worth Hollywood persona behind hits like the “Ghostbusters” series and “Animal House”, that he did not require any payment instead, a part of its ownership would do.

Schwarzenegger stated, “And of course I say OK, so don’t pay me. I said, don’t pay me. Just make me be part owner of the film.” The bodybuilder further added, “I take the risk just like you take the risk, and sure enough, I made more money on that movie like in any other movie.”

In the process, he also announced how they might be seen in another movie together. “We’re in the middle of — there’s a script being written. We want to get back on the big screen together.” The actor also added that it was anything but the sequel of Twin.

Danny DeVito also reflected on his opinions about Arnold Schwarzenegger as being a nice guy. He complimented him by saying, “We always have a good time together. He’s a sweet guy,” He further added, “He’s like my buddy. We have a good time together.”
