In an incident that looked straight out of a movie, YouTuber Max Fosh entered Mr. Universe. With no training. Remember when YouTuber Jesse James West entered the 2023 Summer Shredding Championships in the Classic Physique category and came out on top of his class? He had an impressive physique. Well, Fosh did something similar, but in a way no one would expect.

Six months ago, Max Fosh shared how he used a loophole to enter the competition. With a body that isn’t often seen on a platform like Mr. Universe, Fosh wasn’t there to compete. He was there to win.

Bodybuilders train rigorously at the gym to win any prestigious event. However, the judges at the PCA Mr. Universe 2023 competition were kind enough to honor Max Fosh’s untrained physique. Fosh went through Mr. Universe’s website and understood that the qualifications for the event didn’t require a ripped physique. “I realized that there was nothing to say that I couldn’t compete if I paid my registration,” he revealed in his YouTube clip.

So, he filled out the form, paid for the registration, and a month later, showed up for the event. He abided by the competition rules and got himself tan-sprayed and worked out in the Pump room. He even made some friends.

When it was finally showtime, Fosh hit the posing routine in front of thousands of spectators. He was not at all embarrassed by his participation, and the judges noticed it. “I think the judges took pity on me, as I was awarded the Most Unique Physique award. The crowd went mild, but I was happy,” Fosh confessed in his clip.

However, who inspired the YouTuber to enter a bodybuilding competition?

Hamish & Andy inspired Fosh to enter the elite competition

In 2011, Hamish Blake from ‘Hamish & Andy’ did something similar. He entered a New York State Bodybuilding competition. While it was a great source of comedy, Max Fosh wanted to crank it up a notch.

The YouTuber visited the gym to learn the basic bodybuilding poses that he would need to establish his presence on the stage. He even tried out the pose that Arnold Schwarzenegger is famous for. In the video, Max Fosh stated how he felt self-conscious while posing with his trainer.

On the day of the competition, he snacked on coffee and croissants before going in for his spray tan. He hilariously compared himself to a rotisserie chicken. Further, he went to the pump room so that he could have an edge over his competitors.

After he finally went up on the stage, he posed alongside other bodybuilders. The contrast in their physiques couldn’t be missed, but Fosh gave it his best. Owing to his incredible confidence, Max Fosh won the unique physique title!
