“Feeling Left Out”: Derek Lunsford Makes Honest Confession as On-Stage Rival Hadi Choopan and Coach Hany Rambod Prepares for Arnold Classic 2024

The bodybuilding world has evolved over decades witnessing legendary athletes on stage like Arnold Schwarzenegger and Ronnie Coleman. Every era, be it the golden era or the mass monster era and even the modern era has iconic bodybuilders because of amazing coaches. Hani Rambod, the pro creator is one of the best coaches in modern times and has 24 Olympias under his belt. He trains Hadi Choopan, Derek Lunsford, and Chris Bumstead all of whom have won Mr Olympia. He was recently training Hadi Choopan for the upcoming competitions and one of his pupils was feeling left out.

Derek Lunsford declared his FOMO while watching a video of the Persian Wolf and The Pro Creator preparing together.

The Instagram video showed the champion coach and the 2nd position winner of Mr Olympia in 2023, exercising for Leg Day. Choopan was flexing his delts and massive quads while the coach encouraged him through the whole ordeal. The Pro Creator was encouraging him to show off his quad muscles and hold the pose for as long as possible. Rambod captioned the post writing. “Leg day training 2 weeks out with @hadi_choopan 🔥🦵🔥.”

The video had several comments but one comment that stands out is by none other than 2023 Mr Olympia winner Derek Lunsford. He said, “Feeling left out fellas…2 weeks let’s go!!!!!” Despite feeling left out he also encouraged his fellow competitor both of whom, have the same coach.

The 2023 men’s Open Division competition was pretty intense because there was a lot of controversy on how the Persian Wolf had stormed off the stage when Derek Lansford secured the title. However, both of them clarified that they had a lot of respect for each other and Choopan also declared that he was coming back for 2024 Mr Olympia.

Hadi Choopan is back for 2024 Mr Olympia

Even after losing the title to his rival and friend, the 36-year-old announced that he would compete in the upcoming Mr Olympia in 2024. He’s already two weeks out and he’s gearing up for the Super Bowl of bodybuilding. Choopan also shared an Instagram story with the Mr. Olympia logo and wrote, “2024 I am coming.

He also tagged his coach in the same story. The Persian Wolf has always consistently been among the top five of Mr Olympia’s athletes ever since 2019. However, according to experts, the loss he faced in 2023 left him devastated because his conditioning was near perfect on stage last year. Despite the odds being against him, he has not lost hope and is coming back this year with better conditioning.

Derek Lunsford and Hadi Choopan might be competitors on stage but they are cordial and friendly offstage and have the same coach which makes them have a different bonding. Who do you think will win Mr Olympia this year in the men’s open physique?
