Now, a Reddit user shared a post, “Where would Dorian Yates place in the Olympia today 2023” asking for opinions.

The user wrote, “I think the quality of his muscles and conditioning beats most of the top guys now,” and further added, “But his “natural shape” would not favour him agains someone like Ramy.” Sharing honest thoughts a fan wrote, “His proportions and mass were ridiculous hed have beaten Hadi for sure in 2022 id say 1st.” Replying to the comment a fan mentioned, “Yeah, comparison to hadi being the hardest guy on stage in 2022, and he looked like dorian’s off-season shape.. that’s a brutal comparison.

Another fan reiterated, “Dorian would win the Olympia. His shape was outstanding and the condition was crazy.” Similar assertion came from another user who wrote, “He wins easily, no worries.” But a netizen has been lenient and said, “I say top 5.”Despite an inspiring career in bodybuilding, Dorian Yates once revealed his struggles while competing in Mr. Olympia.

The 61-year-old trained in seclusion to reach his bodybuilding goals but it would be unjustified to state that the path is smooth. Yates once recalled how the training facilities in England were unmatched by the advanced families in America.

So he was treated as an outsider while competing at Mr. Olympia. “The attitude of people over here was like, ‘You can never beat the Americans,” he once confessed. But the legend has focused on his work without giving in to the negativity.
