Similarly, when it comes to football, it is always Ronaldo and Messi. Argentine footballer Lionel Messi and Portuguese footballer Cristiano Ronaldo, have similar world records and achievements that make this rivalry more interesting.

During the Menace podcast, Chris Cormier, Dennis James, and Milos Sarcev spoke about Saudi Arabia, the stint of Ronaldo and Miami, and the stint of Messi.

The Serbian bodybuilder replied, “Yeah I was a Messi fan always. When you Messi fan you kinda like Ronaldo but you don’t…” This is when James interrupted him and asked, about the offer made to Messi by Saudi Pro League and said, “They made an offer to Messi too?” 

But what really shocked them was the supposed price tag for this French star, the next big thing- Kylian Mbappe. The Parisian star was reportedly offered in excess of a billion dollars to join the Saudi League.

Sarcev replied, “They made an offer to Kylian Mbappe. for a billion dollars too…” This was surprising to the others because he got offered more than Ronaldo. Ronaldo who is 38, joined Saudi Pro League side Al-Nassr at the end of 2022. Messi who is 36, moved on from PSG to join David Beckham’s MLS franchise Inter Miami in the summer. Kylian Mbappe was offered 1 billion euros by Al Hilal. Ronaldo got a two-year contract with 500 million a year and Messi got 750 million a year according to Dennis James. The bodybuilders were astonished about the amount of money that was being offered to the veteran footballers. Even Ronnie Coleman talked about his favorite footballer previously.

Ronnie Coleman chooses Cristiano Ronaldo

During a Q and A session on his YouTube channel, Ronnie Coleman was asked by a fan to choose between Messi and Ronaldo. The eighth time Mr. Olympia’s winner chose Cristiano Ronaldo, and said, “That’s a good question. Now and then I’ll see my name online, and it’ll have Ronaldo, and that kind of looks like Ronaldo. That’s another reason why I like Ronaldo. It kind of reminds me of me.“

While his choice has nothing to do with the strength and sportsmanship of the two amazing players, it is interesting to see why he relates to Ronaldo. Coleman was candid about his answer, just as he is about everything else.
