Eddie Hall, the former World’s Strongest Man, is a man of many talents. The Beast is not only a strongman and bodybuilding enthusiast, but he takes on new challenges every day. He ventured into the boxing arena, sumo wrestling field, and even timber sports. Now, after making history as the world’s strongest man, he is shaking hands with an ancient history sport or activity to lift a heavy stone from the Viking era.

Hall recently uploaded a YouTube video of his third day on the Scotland Tour and decided to lift a stone from an old era. The strongman goes to the place of Vikings and tries to become a man by trying to lift a ceremonial stone. So how did things go? Let us find out.

Hall is on an extensive tour across Scotland, trying out multiple things. On the third day of his tour, he decided to travel to Durness to see Smooth Cave, and then he went to Strathmore of Durness to try and attempt an ancient rite of passage.

Eddie said, “We are going to go to the Strathmore of Durness, which is one of the bases of Ben Hope. So, we’re gonna go there and see if we can lift this, like; they have these stones around Scotland; there’s not that many of them.” He then delved into the history of the stones and explained, “Well, these stones are dotted around the Scottish villages and places, and back in the day, these stones were determined. Whoever lifted them was determined to be a man.”

After going to Durness, Eddie straight up goes to his target, which is the ancient Viking stones strewn around the lush green mountains. The stone is square-shaped and looks like any ordinary boulder. But when the world’s strongest man starts lifting it, the real weight of the stone is understood. Eddie Hall lifts the stone with a lot of strain and even swears while lifting it. He even tries to make it go over his shoulder, but he doesn’t succeed in that part. Nonetheless, he successfully lifted it and embraced history firsthand. The stone weighed 352 pounds, and the strongman was successful in lifting it.

Eddie then talked about his experience and said, “I would have liked to shoulder it, but just too awkward. It’s so square. That’s pretty cool. I mean, that is at least history. This is rumored to be here since the Viking era. So, I mean, that could literally be, been used in human existence for, I don’t know, a thousand years ago.” This is not the first time he has taken on challenges like this. Previously, he took up a challenge, but for a whole different reason.

The Beast entered a new challenge to make his son, Max, happy. He had been planning toward the goal for a long time and had extensive training sessions before getting on stage. Maximus was not aware of his dad’s plan and was surprised.

Eddie Hall said, “What I did is I told my son that I was going away for work, and then I told my wife to bring my son to the wrestling.” Eddie’s parents were also in the audience and cheered for their son, while their grandson was surprised to see his father wrestle.
