Arnold Schwarzenegger revealed a secret about his latest book
The Austrian Oak visualized becoming Mr. Universe in his childhood, daydreaming of winning the trophies as the crowd cheered for him. Later, he and the world witnessed his dream unfold as he stunned the crowd with his physique in the 1970s and won seven Mr. Olympia titles. So, Schwarzenegger compiled his success mantras in his latest self-help book, Be Useful: Seven Tools for Life, to teach youth how to make their dreams come true.

But Marc Maron was intrigued by why Arnie chose only seven tools in his book and asked, “But you know, looking at the system and the seven. Who decides it’s seven tools?” The 76-year-old instantly quipped, “The publisher! What an idiot! I say, ‘I give them ten rules; they say, well, we only can do 268 pages.‘”

When enquired why such a specific number of pages, the publisher blamed Schwarzenegger and said, “Because you wanted it to be at the lowest certain price, so it is affordable to everyone.” But the Terminator icon defended, “Of course it is important! I say kids should be able to afford it! Women, mothers that want to buy for their kids, they should be able to afford it. So, everyone should be able to afford it. We don’t want to make it too expensive.” Then the publisher goes, “Then we can only do 268 pages.” “So, it is seven tools for life,” Schwarzenegger concluded. But what inspired Schwarzenegger to write a self-help book?

The bodybuilding icon was very success-oriented in his earlier days, but in his seventies, Schwarzenegger was more concerned about giving back to society. So, he started a fitness newsletter this year, which provides health-oriented tips to his “village members” (subscribers) free of charge.
