“Fu*k What People Think”: Chris Bumstead Shares How He Overcame Social Anxiety and Didn’t Care About His Freshly Hair Transplanted Head

Chris Bumstead has been on a winning streak with his five-time Mr. Olympia victory streak in the Classic Physique division. Even though the bodybuilding community is well aware of his prowess and illustrious career, there is another aspect to the legend as well.  

Bumstead has been vocal about being a victim of social anxiety for a long time. However, he soon came to realize his confidence and battled this unpleasant condition. Even after having a hair transplant, he didn’t care about what people would perceive about him. How did he realize the power of his confidence?

In a recent video uploaded on his official YouTube channel, CBum talked about how he used to fear a lot about being surrounded by people as he didn’t feel quite confident among them. But when he became determined to win Olympia, he went on to get rid of his biggest fear and this made him clinch so many titles in his life and helped him with his social anxiety as well. He learned, “Fu*k what people think.

Here, he shared the fact that his confidence helped him live his life without fear of what people would think after his hair transplant treatment. After the transplant, when Bumstead went to a grocery store, he was asked if he wanted to “come in or stay in the car.” However, the bodybuilder decided to push through and said, “I’m just going to go in the grocery store.” It was then that he came to the realization that no one was even going to look at him.

This is not the first time that Chris Bumstead talked about his social anxiety. Earlier, he had talked about how he overcame his fear of public speaking.

CBum just spoke more to overcome his fear

Talking about how public speaking has been one of the biggest fears of his life and how he got through it, Bumstead said, “I’ve been super nervous and anxious to do public speaking my whole life, and the more and more I started to do it, the more and more I just started to build confidence in it.”

He also shed light on the fact that he gained his experience through constant practice. According to the bodybuilder, when his confidence in public speaking increased, it reflected in all the other aspects of his life as well. Isn’t this an inspiring story?
