Game of Thrones Famed Hafthor Bjornson and Wife Mourn Devastating Loss of Their Just-Born Baby Girl Due to Delayed Miscarriage: “Grief We Feel Will Be With Us Forever”

Strongmen of the world are known for their physical strength as well as their mental capacity to go through such rigorous training. Yet no matter how much you can lift, everyone breaks down when it comes to family and loved ones. It has only been a while since Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson and his partner Kelsey Henson announced being pregnant. The couple has always talked about their difficulty in conceiving a baby before. And they seemed really happy when the child was born. But their happiness wasn’t long-lived.

The family of three, Hafthor, Kelsey, and Stromer were eagerly waiting for the fourth member. When Kelsey was 19 weeks pregnant she shared photos of her upcoming baby with the whole world. Weeks later, they shared another post about the baby, only this time, it was the condolences that came pouring in.

Hafthor’s earth-shattering loss

In his latest Instagram post, Hafthor stated the announcement of his grave loss. Baby Grace who was born on 8th November 2023 lost her life only moments later. In the caption of his post, the strongman wrote, “After a noticeable decrease in movement we found out her heart had stopped beating. Words cannot describe our pain of this loss or our happiness at being able to spend time with our daughter.” He also added, “The grief we feel will be with us forever but so will the love.”

The sorrow of losing one’s child can never be compared with anything else in the world. And both Hafthor and Kelsey understand that it would never be easy for them to move on from the fate they have ended up with. Thus, Hafthor further mentioned in the captions, “All of our hopes and dreams for her have been taken away from us but I know I will be with her again. Her spirit lives on through us and her siblings. We ask that you respect our privacy at this time as we grieve this unbearable loss. Thank you all for any kind words and support.”

The couple had previously revealed how it has always been hard for them to conceive and have a child before. After several trials and struggles, they managed to get pregnant. But saying it was complicated is an understatement and unfair to their troubles.

Hafthor Bjornsson talked about their struggle with having babies

In one of his YouTube videos featuring his partner Kelsey, Hafthor Bjornsson confessed to having difficulties. The world’s Strongest man, 400 lbs beast sadly announced how infertility and IVF played a huge role in their life lately. He stated, “We Had Some Difficulties”. Additionally, he said, “We’ve been trying yeah, like literally, for 3 years. Nothing happening. We tried another IVF”. The couple also shed light on how it took them two years to get pregnant with their first child Stomer.

The mourning couple could not keep their emotions restrained. As they try to make peace with their hearts, they cannot help but think of the baby girl they had dreamed of having in their family and be responsible for her upbringing.
