He might appear to be strong and is the strongest man in the world, but the Mountain is human and has emotions and pain that burst out from time to time. No matter how strong a person is, the devastating news of losing a child is going to leave a deep scar on anyone’s soul. He and his wife lost their daughter Grace Morgan Hafthorsdottir born Nov 8th at 21 1/2 weeks gestation. This heartbreaking incident showed that the world’s strongest man is also just a human.

However, every cloud has a silver lining and life goes on. Dealing with sorrow is hard but together the couple is taking one day at a time. They decided to give a tribute to their little one with an adorable tattoo.

Hafthor Bjornsson and his wife keep their daughter forever

The Instagram post showed both the hands of Bjornsson and Kelsey Henson where they are holding each other’s palm and on both of their hands, there was a little footprint with the name of their daughter tattooed below it. The strongman captioned the post, “Baby girl walking with us through this life 🤍.Big thank you to @boyetattoo & @blackkrosstattoo 🙏🏻”

He and his wife had also shared a carousel of pictures with their newborn. The Mountain also shared a post of his fitness training with an emotional caption. He began his caption with, “340kg x 4 reps. Weights could have moved lighter if everything had been okay. Life happens and sometimes you lose 10kg and get extremely sick.” He was visibly struggling to lift heavy weights which was easy for him before however, now, he got the tattoo and maybe will convert his sorrow into strength with the love of Grace. The fans also showed their support in the comments.

Fans of The Strongman share their own story

The followers not only shared their condolences but became comfortable sharing their own stories that resonated with the strongman’s case.

One follower talked about their own daughter and wrote, “I’m sending prayers to you all. I lost my daughter when I was 19 weeks pregnant. This is a gut-wrenching pain no one should ever experience. I am so sorry you’re now walking this journey.”

Another follower also told their story, “My better half lost her first daughter when she was around a month and a half old overnight, nothing I could ever say to ease that, our daughter’s middle name now is Grace too, prayers for you and the big guy 🙏❤️.”
