There have been numerous instances where influencers use public gyms to film content for their social media just for the sake of reach and likes. Joey Swoll has repeatedly brought this aspect of public misconduct into the spotlight to help people correct their mistakes and make them understand why this was wrong.

The CEO of Gym Positivity, in his latest video, has portrayed a crucial message. When he was sent a video where a female influencer was being inconsiderate of other gymgoers and filming content at a gym he used to train at, Swoll had to make his thoughts known.

Taking to his Instagram, Swoll showcased a short clip of a young woman, @sheiskarli, stretching in the gym. According to Swoll, the influencer’s actions made some gymgoers feel uncomfortable. “A trainer at a local gym that I trained at, Onyx, sent me this video, saying this girl came in under a fake name, filmed stretching videos then proceeded to do this. It made all the trainers and all the clients very uncomfortable,” Swoll explained. Immediately after seeing the video, Swoll sent the video to the gym owner, Griff, who responded by saying that he had instantly kicked her out.

Swoll further revealed how the female gymgoer had uploaded an Instagram story later which stated, “We back. Sorry my stretching video got out of hand @onyxathletica, I’ll make it less sexy next time Griffin.” Following this, Swoll further commented, “Nothing against OnlyFans, make money how you want but this content has no place in the gym. More gyms need to start taking actions like Onyx did to kick creators out, male or female that make content like this. So to this young woman, have some self-respect.”

Swoll, on the other hand, doesn’t always share the ill-happenings of gym culture. He does his best to spread positivity as well. Earlier, he had shared a wholesome story that showcased how a small compliment can go a long way in helping someone on their fitness journey.

Swoll had once shared a video where a woman was seen crying in her car. She narrated how she had been told by another gymgoer that he was proud of her for attending the gym consistently.

When Swoll came across this video, he stated how certain messages can alter people’s lives to a great extent. Joey Swoll thus reflected, “I’m proud of you. Four words, take two seconds that can literally make someone’s day, their week, their month and extinguish in their lifetime the hate that can leave somebody crippled with insecurity and self-doubt.”

As Swoll repeatedly cautions, when it comes to public gyms, content creators must ensure their filming doesn’t hamper the workouts of others. Only then would the gym be as positive as Swoll wants it to be.
