The Hollywood superstars, from Chris Hemsworth to Ben Affleck, have aced in building a muscular frame for their movie roles. Now, the 31-year-old actor Alexander Ludwig has opened up about his intensive training regime for his wrestling-based series.

Ludwig appeared on the Muscle and Fitness YouTube channel to spill beans on his ripped transformation from his current series, Heels and touched on various facets of being in a massive frame.

Getting into a wrestling ring requires both physical and mental strength. But to enact such high-action roles is equally challenging, and Ludwig geared up for his role as Ace Spade in Michael Waldron’s ‘Heels.’

Revealing his bodybuilding mantra, the ‘Vikings’ actor Ludwig denies being on steroids and confessed, “If you want to get bigger, you have to eat more; if you want to get smaller, you have to eat less, period.” The Canadian actor emphasized eating clean food to get a huge frame for the movie. He credited the app “MyFitnessPal” for being helpful in his journey and revealed, “It says I have to stay under 2270 calories a day.

Ludwig, however, denies any sponsorship deal for referring to the app. The actor further revealed that he was at 225 lbs for Bad Boys for Life, and for Season one of the series, he was at 217 lbs before adding, “I don’t feel good when I’m that big.” The actor also mentioned that he used to “work out like a crazy person” but failed to make a balance, which he later pioneered. Earlier, the actor detailed his diet regime for the athletic role.

It is not news for fitness enthusiasts to know that diet and training play a key role in building a shredded physique. So Ludwig spelled out his diet routine for his role in Heels. The actor would skip breakfast and start his day with an early morning coffee before hitting the gym.

For lunch, he would prefer some “romaine lettuce, chicken, some olive oil, and then maybe some vegetables in it. Just very basic.” However, he would not end up having the same course always, despite it being his “perfect world” meal. He trained equally hard to turn into a muscular beast.
