Bodybuilding and fitness is a sport that is based on strict discipline. A discipline that should not be forced upon a person but taken up by themselves out of their passion and love for it. That distinction becomes a crucial deciding element that can either make or break careers. The Canadian actor and MMA star who has inspired thousands of people is also a man of this uncompromising discipline.

Tom Segura, the American writer, actor, and stand-up comedian, has often been seen hitting the gym. He recently talked about his inspirations regarding fitness and its major requirement of passion for it.

In the latest episode of Mark Bell’s Power Project, Tom Segura is seen talking about the titular topic “Fat to Fit”. In the video, he expresses one of the unique stories he came about that inspired him to no end. He talks about Georges Saint Pierre in the video, “I heard that about George Saint Pierre, that like do you know how often he is active Like? No they’re like 365 days a year.”

In the video, he continues to say, “I was like he trains like, no he doesn’t train 365 days a year but when he’s not rolling or like and he’s not like intensely doing that like they’re like he might just jump rope that one day but he’s doing that so his body moves in some way every day.”

While talking to the bodybuilding and fitness community pros, Tom made a crystal distinction between him and those who take the habit extremely strictly.

Tom Segura’s belief in a not-so-elite fitness promises

In the same video, Segura reflected on how some people are always very invested in fitness and gym exercises. When he started comparing himself with those elitists, he says, “I try to listen to my body”. Following the statement, Tom shares an experience from his prior week where he took a day off for himself to sleep properly and chill for the day. However, the very next day, he claimed it had turned out to be pretty active again.

It is quite true that there should exist a line between two sets of people. The former lives for fitness, to whom it is passion and profession. And the latter, who need fitness in their lives yet live without restricting their lives. The fitness community almost always warmly welcomes both of these categories.
