He even had a movie made about his life. Born in 1893, the strongman performed incredible acts that people could only dream of. Recently, Joe Rogan narrated his story with equal shock in his eyes in a podcast and shared the story of the strongest man in the world.

Rogan starts by asking, “You’ve never heard about the mighty animal?” To this, the speaker says, “No.” Rogan then dives into the story of the strongman and starts narrating his powerful acts.

He says, “Hallelujah man…this guy is 130 pounds strongest man in the world. People go ‘Yeah right…’ 6 of 1/12th pennies hell bite in half right straight through. Give him a horseshoe. Uh. What form you wanna have?”

Then he reveals the name saying, “Joe L. Greenstein the Mighty Atom. Police say we came there to save the crowd from him, not to save him from the crowd.”

There is even a story of Greenstein with the police: “He bit through nails, broke chains, and held down an airplane with his hair. Single-handedly beat up 20 Nazi sympathizers.”

Rogan continued, “They shot him in the forehead. Because the guy was in love with his wife. Didn’t penetrate the skull. And they go to a dentist and he checks out his teeth. And while he is doing it, he bites the metal thing that is in his mouth. He bites it in half. The guy writes about that. What are you gonna do against a guy like that?” 

The incredible man had a humble life when he started his career. But he never stopped performing stunts.

The man came from humble beginnings in Poland. Joe L. Greenstein did not always have an extravagant life or fan following. He was born as a premature and sickly baby. But he transformed into the most powerful man in the world. Greenstein had first joined a European circus where he learned all the stunts from his mentor. Since he was living during the World Wars, Joe helped raise money for war efforts as well.

Greenstein might have had superhuman strength, but he was also like any other human surviving during a huge world war. He used everything in his power to help people around him. The athlete became a sensation on the vaudeville circuit, traveling throughout the United States and Europe.
