With bodybuilding athletes facing intense competition from all over the world, it’s getting harder and harder to earn pro cards. However, deducing true talent might not be a very tough task, as most competitors in the top few positions are undoubtedly worthy and full of potential. This aspect was spotlighted by IFBB pro bodybuilder, Greg Doucette in his recent video on Instagram.

The athlete often takes the initiative to address prevalent issues in the sphere, be it steroid abuse or low self-esteem, he’s there to voice it all. This time, he shared his outlook on bodybuilder, Joe Linder, whose pro card breezed by just one position. Doucette was mindful enough to share that regardless of his pro card, Linder is still a pro athlete.

As per the source, the 47-year-old star athlete promptly revealed that Joe Linder, popularly known as, Joesthetics, addressed himself as “a sh***y athlete” and Doucette wasn’t convinced. He began his video on a dramatic note, and said, “Joesthetics aka Joe Linder is a sh***y athlete, that’s right I said it….I’m copying what he said.”

Furthermore, he went on to describe the whole instance. “In case you didn’t know, Joesthetics, he recently competed for his pro card of which he got second place,” the 5’6” pro stated. He claimed that any athlete who earns a second position at a pro qualifier is “almost a pro.”

Doucette also elucidated that most top 2 qualifiers in the United States do get a pro card. Thus, he attempted to convince the young German athlete to keep working towards his goal. “You’re this close to turning pro, don’t give up,” he added. Whereas his caption insinuated, “@joesthetics a terrible athlete? Absolutely… NOT!!” Doucette’s genuine concern for young bodybuilders is inspiring. Similarly, he once tried to influence aspirants against pushing toward extremes.

Taking the case of a 22-year-old enthusiast, Alex Eubank’s alarming body fat composition, Doucette urged others to be careful as it can be dangerous to their health. “Stop trying to maintain a single-digit body fat…Stop this. Stop the insanity,” he exclaimed.

He also compared the matter with climbing a mountain and shared, “The higher you climb the mountain, the harder it gets thinner air.” His ultimate point of concern was Eubank maintaining his peak physique at all times. Thus, he added, “what Alex is doing is he hanging three courses the way up the mountain and hanging out there for life.”
