The fear of water made Goggins opt out of military training once. However, he soon became aware of his instinct to become a Navy SEAL and worked on his desired weight and aquaphobia. Now online fitness enthusiasts are celebrating a throwback clip of The Toughest Man Alive

The Hustle Squad YouTube channel shared a clip with the following narration: “Without a doubt, I can always find David out here in the water doing the one thing he hated to do more than anything else during training.” The 6’1″ athlete’s hands and feet are tied as he jumps into a lake for a swim.

Despite being one of the most dangerous things to do, the millionaire undertook the risk to overcome his fear of water. But while facing his fears, he did something unimaginable, making him an idol for pushing beyond boundaries in the fitness community. He once took up the 35-mile run challenge with Cameron Hanes and persisted till the end, despite running barefoot after 22 miles. His swimming adventure is yet another proof of his willpower.
