Even after years of retirement, IFBB beast, Jay Cutler hasn’t been able to part his way from his beloved sport of bodybuilding. As the athlete approaches his 50s, he has something special planned to mark the half-century of his life. As fans know, he took up the ‘Fit for 50’ challenge months ago, while rumors were that Cutler is getting ready to get back to pro competing. 

In a recent Instagram post, the icon clarified both speculations through his encouraging video iterating his goals for the next phase of his life. The athlete sure has some big plans for the event, but it’s not a birthday party, instead, it’s a transformation, of himself and his life.

As the post revealed, the 49-year-old is soon to hit his 50-year mark two months later. He also refuted the rumors surrounding his comeback to the game and said, “I’m actually doing a transformation for my 50th birthday.“ To clear the air, he explained that his transformation challenge doesn’t only revolve around his workout regimen but also his food and recreational priorities.

The four-time Mr. Olympia is determined to map out a healthy and fit lifestyle for himself, while staying dedicated to his “obligations” and responsibilities. “I’m gonna twist my lifestyle around. I actually have a very busy schedule, day-to-day,” the 5’9” pro shared. The video presented glimpses of his daily life, working out, eating food, cleaning his pool, and more.

Therefore, finally spilling his long-awaited goal for his birthday, he said, “But the main thing I’m gonna focus on is, of course the food…is the number one thing, the training will ramp up, the cardio will ramp up, but I’ll still enjoy myself and my end goal on my 50th birthday is be the best I can absolutely be.” The best version of Jay Cutler, with an all-rounded life involving fun, work, exercise, and good food, is his greatest goal for now. Interestingly, in a previous interview, he hinted at a particular reason that urged him to contemplate taking up the challenge.

Talking to his manager, Matt, on the 72nd episode of Cutler Cast, on YouTube, the American athlete prompted his strict diet regimen and also his greatest rival for the ‘Fit for 50’ challenge. I’m just not satisfied with how I look now,” he let out in the video. Cutler also revealed that he was his biggest rival on the matter, by saying, “The fit for 50 challenge is me against me.” 

The bodybuilder had planned to document his transformation at every step, and showcase it to his fans. He added, “I’m actually going to show my body in the poses as they lead up, wow!” Besides that, the athlete had minimized his coffee intake, and decided to compromise on all things necessary to maintain a grand physique while attaining 50.
