American singer, Thomas Cummings, aka Tommy Vext as his stage name, was recently featured on bodybuilding icon, Jay Cutler’s podcast elucidating the same.
Therefore, a snippet of the Cutlercast interview was shared on Instagram by the athlete iterating on the precious value of life. Vext recalled an incident when a father-daughter pair approached him backstage for a heartbreaking reason that left him in tears.

Tommy Vext shares a touching moment while on tour
As per the post which surfaced on the platform 2 days ago, the 41-year-old heavy metal singer guest-starred on Cutler’s show. Eventually, he narrated a deeply moving incident that took place while he was performing on stage. “I had a father and a daughter. They broke into the backstage one night,” he said.

Detailing his situation, Vext claimed that he was on tour with his band, Bad Wolves, and the rock band, Papa Roach when suddenly he was informed by an official staff about the father-daughter. “the staging was like…this guy..he’s with his daughter, she tried to commit suicide,” the American star revealed. Shocked by the fact, he asked the official to take him to them, despite being “drenched soaking wet” and walked offstage. After he saw the little girl wearing her hospital bracelet, Vext was disheartened.
The artist couldn’t control his tears when he recalled, “He literally went to the hospital and she wanted to see me…and he broke her out of the hospital and he f****n broke in the backstage of the show.” That’s not all, hinting at the girl’s young age and her father’s helplessness, Vext shared, “And this man was crying because he was like, I cannot save my daughter, can you please talk to her? And this girl was a 13 or 14-year-old little girl.” This ended up making him realize something important about himself and life as a whole.
Tommy Vext confessed to being ignorant of his blessings
As soon as the New York native comprehended the amount of love he receives because of his stardom, he was grateful. He reflected back on his life after he hung out with them for over 45 minutes. The Zombie singer claimed that it was “the most important conversation” he’d ever had.
Shedding tears, Vext disclosed, “I used to smoke crack and live on a mattress. I don’t know who I think I am that people should come to me and ask me for advice but somehow god has allowed me to be this person and I don’t deserve it.” Seemingly, the star was humbled and touched by the gesture of the struggling family and was determined to prioritize life more hereon.
