As per the documentary, the 75-year-old pro was skiing in Aspen, Colorado in 1987, when he stumbled on the star director. Speaking on the instance, Reitman featured in the docuseries. He said, “The first time I bumped into Arnold, we were both in Colorado skiing.”

He shared that Arnie was just getting out of the Snowmass club when he “suddenly stopped and pointed” at him and said, “You’re that Ghostbusters guy, aren’t you?” Hence, the following statement decided his career in the film industry. “I said, Yeah, that’s my movie, He said, You know I could be a ghostbuster,” Reitman revealed.

He claimed that it was really clever of the action star to communicate his intention of doing movies in the comedy genre. “That was such a clever way to let me know, I can do comedy, it’s not just action stuff,” the Twins director added in the Netflix documentary. Furthermore, he spoke highly of Arnie saying, “He spoke very well, and his intelligence and humor came through.” Hence, it encouraged Reitman to contemplate making a movie with the legend. Moreover, the movie laid the foundation for yet another great friendship in Arnie’s life.

As revealed in the docuseries, the IFBB champion signed up for his new movie with Reitman in 1988. He was co-starring alongside Hollywood actor and comedian, Danny Devito. The director visualized them as being the perfect couple for the action comedy feature, despite their conspicuous physical differences.

While Devito was traveling in New York once with his kids, he felt a hand on his shoulder and then on his bag. Presuming it to be the doorman, he turned around only to find Schwarzenegger standing. He was impressed with humility and was elated to recall his first meeting with the Austrian Oak.
