Bodybuilding is a sport where a single mistake can ruin the course of a bodybuilder’s career forever. If not taken seriously, wrong workout techniques might backfire. Training needs precision, of course, but evidently, the right guidance still tops the list. The six consecutive Mr. Olympia title holder, Dorian Yates, is reported to comment on his experience that shall not be discredited easily.

Dorian Yates especially takes the initiative to show Mike and their fellow Instagram experts how the Dumbbell Shrug is done. He humorously explains how the arms don’t need to be rigid to do the Dumbbell shrug. Instead, he suggests, “let the arms bend if you want”. Thus, correcting a lot of misconceptions regarding rigid arms during this workout technique. He further writes in his captions, “Lean slightly forward too rather than standing straight.” He previously cast light upon how he has seen in his experience many athletes focus on too much, too often, and too long,” instead of knowing what they are doing. In the same vein, he comes forward to teach them the right way, depending on his expertise.

Dorian comes from the “pre-internet” era, and for him to tolerate Instagram criticism is quite intolerable. His expertise and skill go beyond the recently published books or the newly budding critics who haven’t achieved the slightest of what Yates had accomplished long ago. The bodybuilding legend’s methodology thus remains untouched, and he further jeers at the critics who attempted to shade his techniques.
