As Cent is nearing his 50s, he reflects on how it affects his lifestyle. Compared to his early career, he talks about how difficult the present has become.

50 Cent’s accelerating difficulties

In?one of the editions of Men?s Health, he reportedly gave an interview where he talked about his career. Portraying how important physical fitness is for him as a performer, he says,?“When I?m in top shape, I?m not sweating until song four.”?He compares himself with others in his profession while attributing their decline as early as in the second song.

However, Cent does see the urgency of him being fit now as the numbers of his age are shooting up. With a melancholic tinge, he confesses what troubles him in maintaining his physique:?“Simply because I?m getting older. It?s harder.”??Albeit 50 was seen to have lost about 10 pounds before his 48th birthday, he had declared his wishes to lose much of his body fat.

Although he had worse body fitness before due to a shocking history, Cent uplifted himself into becoming one of the fittest in his industry. However, the same incident got him tangled up with bodybuilder and professional boxer Mike Tyson.

On May 24, 2000, Curtis was shot nine times, allegedly by Darryl “Hommo” Baum. Hommo was not only Tyson’s bodyguard but one of his best friends as well. After Baum’s death, Tyson dedicated a match in Hommo’s name. It made Cent highly dejected. He expressed his repulsive opinions on the act and got an equally?abhorrent reply from Mike.
