“I’m Jumpin”: 71 YO Shredded Bodybuilder Reveals Her Road to Competing for ‘Pro-Card Territory’

Renee Landers, the bodybuilding grandma, is gearing up for her 7th competition of late. Apart from getting some lessons on how to pose in the competition, she is training hard at the gym. Landers took to fitness after a lower lumbar fusion surgery a decade ago. The bodybuilder granny is now a social media influencer and often posts motivational messages for her 37.4K followers.

In her recent Instagram post, Landers displayed her excitement for the upcoming event and gave some input on her fitness regime.

Landers started competing in bodybuilding competitions at 69, and so far, she has flexed her shredded physique at six events and is trying her best for her 7th competition. “Seven weeks out from Masters nationals! Pro card territory! I’m a give it all I got! I’m jumpin!” she wrote in the caption of her post.

The video she shared in the post reflects her intense training sessions and sizzling bikini-clad muscular body. “I am having the time of my life! You can too!” she suggests to her followers. However, she is not asking them to compete. “Just work on being your best you!” she adds.

The post also mentioned her workout and diet routine. Landers confessed that she would lift weights five days a week, perform cardio daily, and do an elliptical workout for 45 minutes. She further calls herself a low FODMAP and her diet is wheat and dairy free. Her protein intake is from fish and eggs. Earlier, she flaunted her physique during a posing session on her social media.

As posing is very important to flex the physique on the stage, Landers is being coached by Brittany Ann to fine-tune her preparation. “Little things make a big difference! Still a work in progress… practice makes progress!” she added in the post in reference to her posing session.

Landers admits that she is in love with her present bodybuilding journey and, as of now, is not thinking of stopping. While many people her age restrict themselves to the four walls, Renee is living life to the fullest by focusing on her fitness journey.

Social media introduced many elderly taking up fitness and defying all age norms. And Renee Landers is among those few people who never give up on being healthy and fit and are an inspiration to many.
