Sommerfeld is new to the great halls of Olympus, so it was important for him to win the Pharlabs Battle Bogoto Pro, especially after finishing 8th in the 2023 Olympia Classic Physique. More than just prestige, this win was his ticket to dine with the gods again at the 2024 Mr. Olympia and needless to say, he’s more than earned it. He secured his third pro event victory and a spot at the Olympia for the fourth time in a row with his title. However, as the ancient Greeks would tell you, you couldn’t walk a blade of grass on Mt. Olympus without stumbling into a god, and this journey has been no different for Sommerfeld.

A fitness and bodybuilding-oriented page bis and tris shared a post and congratulated Mike Sommerfeld for winning and qualifying for the Olympia 2024. “Mike Sommerfeld wins the Bogota Pro Classic Physique Title,” they wrote in the post

Sommerfled battled against Jean Carlos Guerrero from Columbia, who secured the second spot while Carlos Daniel Gonzalez Iglesias, also from Colombia, came third. The other top contestant who gave our hero a run for his money was Eric Widlbeger Lisboa (Brazil), who claimed the fourth position. Regardless of the herculean task at hand, Sommerfeld held his own and managed, not only to win the title but also impress upon the arena, the humble beginnings of a possible new world order.

Earned his invitation to be part of the 2024 Olympia

Of course, following the victory, he took to his Instagram and shared this exciting news with his fans and supporters that he qualified for the Olympia for the fourth time. He expressed his gratitude toward his team and wrote in his caption, “Mr.Olympia‘24 – We made it I’m blessed to have such a strong team with me! @shani.sommerfeld & @neil_yoda_hill1”

Of course, fans find themselves elated at his success. They also stressed that others in the contest didn’t have the same balance in Classic Physique or Pro, so Sommerfeld was always expected to dominate the event. However, to the German giant, this was not exactly a ‘Paul the Octopus’ moment. He has always been rather aware of his own capabilities.
