Chris Bumstead expresses his concern over extremists

As per the interview shared days ago, the 28-year-old threw an impromptu question at his guests. “Do you care about political views in a partner?” he asked. As Calvin and Vaughn tried their best shot at giving an answer, Bumstead seemed pretty sorted with his point of view. He revealed the ideal way to go about it would be, despite the conflict of opinions, the ability to effectively communicate their views to each other.

However, social media has seemed to hinder that approach, as most people assume there are only two sides to any discussion. While Cbum points out that there’s always a midline and people can very well come to an open-ended conclusion, without demeaning anyone.

“well social media just f**ked it because people like extremes and polarization and debate and argument… Instagram just shows like extreme left extreme right and then people like think that’s the only way to be when, like you can be conservative with liberal values,” Cbum discussed. Similarly, the pro addressed the issue of polarization in another such discussion.

Chris Bumstead asserts the importance of therapy in this polarized world:

In a Q&A session in another video on Raw Nutrition, Bumstead emphasized how therapy changed his perspective on things and saved him from being a victim of polarization. While claiming to be pretty stubborn himself, Cbum shared his experience of getting therapy and embracing disagreements.

“I’ll argue people against anything and I found a good therapist who I argue should argue back, and we just debate, and again, it teaches me to see both sides a lot clearly,” the pro athlete revealed. Cbum’s concern for the extreme behaviors in today’s world is worth pondering upon since it influences negativity.
