Just Like Ronnie Coleman, Wheelchair-Bound Nick Walker Continues Training Despite His ‘Hamstring Injury’: “We’re Still Getting It In”

Nick Walker is one of the biggest contenders for the Mr Olympia 2023 and his 24-inch biceps can give anyone the run for their money. However, this time Walker will not be able to compete in the event due to a hamstring tear that left him with a severely bruised leg. He was upset about it and even came onto Instagram to talk to his fans. Walker will be present at the Mr. Olympia expo but not on stage.
However, he has support from his partner Maria Carvajal, and his friends who encourage him every day. The champion is strong and determined and even in this crisis, he does not miss a gym day even when he is bound to a wheelchair like Ronnie Coleman.

Michael Daboul who is a fellow IFBB pro, shared a recent Instagram story where he was seen in the same gym with Nick Walker. In the video, Nick was seen working out on his biceps while sitting down and doing some rigorous rep exercises.

Daboul wrote, “Get well soon,” in the story captions and the video also featured them talking to each other. The IFBB pro showed Walker on the camera and said, “The uncrowned champ.” The answer that came back from the Arnold Classic champ was spot on. Walker replied by saying, “For now,” showcasing the fact that his absence at the Olympia stage is temporary and this not the end.

Nick Walker might be injured, but the bodybuilder’s spirit is intact and he plans to come back stronger in 2024. He had earlier talked about his injury and plans on Instagram as well.
Nick Walker tried his best but the injury was too much to handle
Walker is a 29-year-old trailblazing pro bodybuilder who has already made his name in the bodybuilding industry. Despite being 5’7”, the IFBB pro tips the scale at 295 lbs during the off-season. He was placed third in 2022 Mr. Olympia and was among the favorites of the veteran bodybuilders.

Even as the injury hit him, Walker did try his best to ensure he would grace the Olympia stage this year, but he was unable to do so. He revealed how hard he tried and said, “I tried to push through it. I tried to do whatever I could get all the treatment that I could.” Walker addressed his dilemma with teary eyes but had avowed to get back up with his eyes already on the next competition.
