Tammy wasn’t breathing and was put on a ventilator and spent a few days in a medically induced coma. Now, the 36-year-old has come a long way in her weight loss journey as she had reduced several pounds to undergo bariatric surgery. After the procedure, she is even happier about her better condition.

Tammy Slaton is thankful for being alive

The 1000-lb Sisters star after the life-threatening event improved herself physically and is proud of her transformation. She was inserted with a tracheostomy tube for facilitating breathing after she woke up from the coma. And now after the surgery, she lost more weight and improved her lungs. In a recent post, she was seen posing without the oxygen tube.

 “I’m feeling great! I’m thankful to be alive, and it’s fun to be progressing as much as I am,” she told People. The television series 1000-Lb Sisters documented Tammy’s journey unfiltered. Fans could clearly see her progress in the show.

Though getting on to the scale was the most disliked thing to do for Tammy, the measurement on the scale once surprised her. In one episode of the show, the television star overdid her weight loss goal by dropping to 550 lbs when the target was 717 lbs. “When I got on the scale and I saw the scale was at 534.7, I kinda stopped breathing for a second,” she exclaimed in the episode that streamed on Feb. 7. A man once left home to pursue weight loss goals

Bryan O’Keeffe took a unique step to overcome the weight loss struggle. Having tried all weight loss fads, the 34-year-old almost gave up on his transformation journey. But the book David Goggins ‘Can’t Hurt Me’ motivated him to analyze his failures to march on the path of success.

So he did the same and realized that his friends and family are his weakness as he would often dine with them resulting in a persistent overweight problem. So he left family and friends and trained hard for 7 months in a small village far from home. The result is he lost 137 lbs.
